Jaguar E-Type Coupe – Series 2 4.2 Litre

Details

We are delighted to offer an excellent example of Jaguar’s iconic E-Type. This particular car is a 1969 Series 2 Coupe, powered by Jaguar’ss famous 4.2 litre 6 cylinder XK engine. It has the desirable manual transmission, is fitted with chrome wire wheels and is finished in its original colour scheme of red with black leather interior.

The car is chassis number 1R20257 and it is an Australian delivered car (through Brysons) from new.

The current owner purchased the car back in July 2003 and has used the car occasionally, having travelled some 4,000 miles in his ownership. During this time the car has been regularly maintained and it has recently been fitted with new tyres and door rubbers. The car is extremely tight on the road with no rattles, everything works as it should and it is mechanically very strong, running excellent oil pressure and it does not over heat. To improve the drivabilty of the car it has been fitted with electronic ignition and ducted front and rear disc brakes.

The previous owner had the car in excess of twenty years and it was restored under his ownership back in the mid 1980’s. The extensive restoration included the body and all mechanicals and the car has travelled circa 20,000 miles since.

Today the car has travelled 114,000 miles from new and it presents fabulously inside and out. The E-Type Coupes are becoming more collectable and really good ones are hard to find. This car is ready for its new owner to jump in and enjoy . . . don’t miss this opportunity!
