1977 Ferrari 308 GTB

Details

We are delighted to offer a wonderful example of Pininfarina’s classic, timeless Ferrari 308 GTB.

This car is very early steel bodied, dry sump carburettor 308 finished in the desirable colour combination of rosso corso with nero trim. It has travelled a fully documented 48,000 miles from new and has a full history, books and tools.

The history of this car is as follows:

– The car was ordered by Ferrari agent Brandon Motors with Maranello Concessionaires on the 18th of January 1977. The car was scheduled for July production and prior to being bought into the UK it was reallocated as “press/demonstration car”.

– The car was then first sold on the 20th December 1977 and passed to its next owner on the 25th May 1978 with 12,000 miles on the clock. The car remained with its new owner for 31 years before being imported into Australia by Oldtimer Australia in 2009.

– The car was sold to an enthusiast in Tasmania who sympathetically improved the car to the condition that it is presented in today. The car was resprayed in April 2010 and the body fish oiled. In his ownership the car has travelled 1,600 miles.

The car is reluctantly offered for sale to make way for a new project!

It would be hard to find a better example available today.

Note: the odometer reads 47,986 miles and not km.
