Coming soon to Oldtimer Australia is this wonderfully original 1958 Aston Martin DB MkIII (DB2/4 MkIII).
The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate on file confirms this particular car was built on the 6th March 1958 and despatched on the 6th March 1958. It was delivered to Brooklands of Bond Street Limited (Guy Salmon Automobiles) for WM Perring & Company Limited, London. This RHD, home market car, was delivered new in ‘elusive blue’ with a ‘blue/grey’ interior
The car’s early history is not known, other than it competed in the 1958 Tulip Rally. It is understood to have found its way to Bunbury in Western Australia in 1970, where it remained in continuous ownership for almost fifty years.
Aside from a repaint, the car is extensively original.
