1956 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Coupe
Details
Here is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a unique 1956 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint 750B restoration project.
The car is matching numbers as authenticated by Alfa Romeo Centro Storica.
Chassis number AR1493*01682
Engine number AR1315*01758
Body number # 651655
This car was imported to Australia in 2010 by its current owner. It has lived much of its life in a dry California climate which helps explain the condition of the body which is near rust free apart from the bottom lip of the boot lid. This is a straight solid car with good shut lines, gaps and accident free bodywork. These cars are almost impossible to find in this condition.
This example is a small headlight early car and it has the rare rolled lip style early rims which were discontinued because they were more expensive to manufacture and had the potential to rust from the inside out. At some stage the car was converted to from a column shift to a more desirable floor shift. It is factory Left hand drive (LHD).
It has the original steering wheel, seats & instruments switches etc. Even the door cards looks original! The small headlight components (which are hard to find) are also there. The car is believed to be complete less one rear bumper, eyebrows, plywood rear seat/shelf, hubcaps & air filter housing.
The brakes have just been overhauled making transport easy.
Being a 1956 model we understand that this car will be eligible for major events such as the Mille Miglia, Tour Auto, etc.
