In October 2011 Mark and Michelle Jansen purchased Oldtimer Australia from Terry and Suzanne Healy.
Mark has embarked on a lifestyle change having spent the previous 25 years in the corporate world in senior executive roles. This experience, coupled with the fact that Mark is a ‘car guy’ is a great grounding to take Oldtimer Australia into the future. Michelle’s background is in Internet and E-commerce which will also complement the business. Mark and Michelle have their own significant collection of cars and are actively involved with various car clubs and motoring events both within Australia and overseas. Mark has been the President of The Lamborghini Club of Australia for the past six years.
On the change Mark said, “It’s certainly exciting times ahead. I’m looking forward to working with and learning from Terry who will be providing support to the business for the next twelve months.”
The business will continue to be run from Brisbane and maintain its focus on high end unique sports, racing and classic cars. A motoring memorabilia side to the business will also be established.
Our History – Terry Healy
Oldtimer Australia was founded by Terry Healy in 1996 with the business based in Brisbane, Australia.
Terry Healy has been a car guy since university days in the early 1970′s, and in the last twenty five years developed a successful business dealing in sports, racing and classic cars for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
An inveterate traveler, Terry has travelled the world in pursuit of the cars he is so passionate about. Be it South America, Cuba, Europe or the US, Terry amassed an enviable database worldwide of dealers, collectors and car guys.
He has spent extended periods in Europe and more recently the US dealing in classic cars, and with his continued support, the business is well positioned to advise in the purchase or sale of superior, sports racing and classic cars.
Terry has competed in tarmac rallies in an AC Ace, Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing, Ferrari 365 GTB/4, entered a Porsche 962 at Monterey Historics, and recently completed a concourse restoration of Ferrari 275 GTB/4. He remains passionate about the hobby he loves that developed into this business and it continues to encompass his life!
